Sheep Standards

Sheep farms vary significantly depending on geography and climate, which is why our tiered program supports continuous improvement, and is not a ‘one-size-fits-all’ model. For example, our Base Certification level permits the animals to be housed indoors, but every other level requires them to be pasture raised. As with all of the animals in the G.A.P. program, our third-party certifiers audit every farm, annually to ensure our standards are being met.
