For example, our Step 1 and Step 2 levels typically involve indoor housing systems, while farms certified at higher G.A.P. tiers provide outdoor access or full outdoor living environments for the birds. That’s why the G.A.P. program is designed to support continuous improvement rather than a one-size-fits-all model. As with all species in our program, every pekin duck, goose, quail and guinea fowl farm is audited by third-party certifiers annually to ensure our standards are consistently being met.
